Because of you
As I reflect on 2025, my first year as President and CEO of Catholic Charities Twin Cities, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude.
I literally owe my life to Catholic Charities. As an infant, my adoption was facilitated by Catholic Charities — and as I have come to know our different programs across the Twin Cities, I understand that I am only one of thousands of people who owe their lives to this special organization.
After working in city government for more than thirty years, I’ve learned the importance of meeting the social service needs of our community. And after more than a year at Catholic Charities, I know that we will be facing a continually changing landscape over the coming years.
Because of this, we began a comprehensive strategic planning process to ensure we are serving our community as effectively as possible.
We engaged more than 800 people during this process – staff, board members, clients, and key external stakeholders alike. We are using our community’s input to create a future roadmap for Catholic Charities that delivers the greatest impact in a sustainable way.
This past year, we also closely monitored and responded to federal funding announcements that directly impacted housing, food access, and supportive services in the region. We continued to deliver critical resources to our neighbors in need, serving one million healthy meals, providing 630,000 nights of safe housing and shelter, and serving 25,000 children, families and adults.
Our staff, donors, volunteers, advocates, and community partners made these outcomes possible. Thank you for walking with us, believing in this mission, and standing by our work when it matters most.
Jamie Verbrugge, President & CEO
