Do I have to be Catholic to work at Catholic Charities?

Catholic Charities is a nonprofit corporation that does not make hiring decisions or discriminate against employees based on religion or any other protected class. Likewise, services are available to all individuals regardless to any protected class status, such as race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender, marital status, veteran status, national origin, age, etc. Catholic Charities is committed to providing an environment free from discrimination and harassment.

What type of pre-employment screenings do you perform?

All potential hires are run through a basic criminal background check by a third-party vendor. For positions at sites licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS), additional DHS screenings are performed. For employees who drive on behalf of Catholic Charities, a motor vehicle background check is also required.

Will my application be considered for future and/or multiple positions?

Your application remains on file for one year, but you must complete a new online application for each position to be considered for employment.
